Central Registration
Bayside City Council manage a central registration process for 20 kindergartens in the Bayside area. The central process runs between 1 May and 30 June each year and enrolment applications must be made directly to Bayside City Council.
Applications received after 30 June are placed on a Council wait list and are held until the last round of offers are made. If a place is available at the kindergarten/s of choice an offer will be made, otherwise your details will be added to a waitlist until such time that a vacancy may arise.
Council undergo three rounds of enrolment offers commencing at the end of July and ending mid September. Although Council contact families directly with an offer of enrolment, families respond directly to the kindergarten of their choice to accept or decline of the offer.

Outside of the Central Enrolment period, BRPS enrolment enquiries can be made directly to the BRPS Enrolment Officer.
All enrolments are managed by Bayside City Council. If you have missed the Central Registration period you are still able to contact Bayside City Council who will be able to offer you a place if there is one available, or place your child’s details onto a waitlist.

Open Day
Bayside Council annually coordinates an Early Childhood Program Open Month for local families with children ready to attend three and four year old kindergarten the following year.
Typically, the open month is held in March or April and involves a number of early childhood venues across Bayside who are part of the Central Registration process. It is designed to encourage Bayside families to take of advantage of visiting potential early childhood facilities over the course of the month.

Black Rock Preschool participates in the Open Weekend and invites all families considering early childhood education to visit our the kindergarten, view our facilities, meet our wonderful educators and families. This is a great opportunity to ask questions you may have about the kindergarten and the programs we deliver.
