Central Registration
Each year Bayside City Council manage a central registration process for 15 kindergartens in the Bayside area. The central process runs between 1 April 2021 and 31 May 2021 for children who are due to start in term 1 of the following year. During this period all families are required to register their preferred kindergarten(s) on the Bayside City Council website. Kindergarten registration information can be found at: https://www.bayside.vic.gov.au/kindergarten
Applications received after 31 May are placed on a Council wait list and are held until the last round of offers have been made. If a place is available at the kindergarten(s) of choice after the final round of offers are complete an offer will be made directly to the family. Otherwise, details are added to a waitlist that is then provided to the kindergarten to manage until such time as a vacancy may arise.
Council commences initial offers from 1 July 2021. Bayside City Council contact families directly with an offer of enrolment, and upon acceptance families are then required to finalise the enrolment in the section below.
Families are required to provide a response to the offer, within 7 days, via the Bayside Kindergarten Portal link at https://www.bayside.vic.gov.au/kindergarten Offers will expire after 7 days if not responded to. The place with be forfeited and offered to the next family on the waiting list.
Once a response is recorded on the Bayside Kindergarten Portal, families will receive an email asking them to finalise their enrolment directly with the kindergarten, within 7 days. Instructions on how to do this are available below.
As soon as declines or forfeits are known, council continues to offer new vacancies on a day to day basis throughout July, in priority order to families who are waitlisted.
Weighted criteria apply to each enrolment application. For detailed information pertaining to the central enrolment process visit www.bayside.vic.gov.au or call 9599 9444.
