At Black Rock Pre School we endeavor to take children on an inspirational and unique journey of learning.
Our educators are focused on creating a safe and enriching learning environment that encourages children to be active, inquisitive and independent learners.
Our educational programs incorporate opportunities of wondering, investigating and discovering our world together. The children’s individual needs are met, leaving enough room to accommodate topics that emerge from group discovery, creating a project-based learning approach, inspired by Reggio Emilia and inquiry-based educational philosophies.
Black Rock Pre School displays values of responsibility, co-operation, fair play and kindness to support children’s development while also encouraging them to express feelings. Children are encouraged as competent and capable learners to freely explore our world, while learning life-skills of taking responsibilities for their own exploration.
The children’s learning programs value recognition towards the Boon Wurrung people as the custodians of the land. Through this the children gain understandings of cultural equity, inclusion and diversity.
We acknowledge that our educators, friends, families and community are our best education partners and are essential in our children’s learning.
At Black Rock Pre School we recognise that children are the future of our society, providing them with tools to learn, think and critically analyse information to become life-long learners.
